Months ago, actress Ellen Page revealed herself as a transgender and changed her name to Elliott. Elliott is now the first transgender to appear on the cover of Time magazine.
In an interview with the publication, Elliott shares what it means to be accepted as he is and what the process underlies is to declare yourself as a transgender and define your identity while in the spotlight.
“Many influential people spread myths and dangerous rhetoric – every day our existence is a matter of debate. Transgender people are so real.”says Paige.
Elliott Page recently turned 34. The star of “Juno”, “Hard Candy”, “Genesis” and other film productions revealed that he is gay in 2014, and in 2018 he shared on Instagram that he married his partner Emma Portner.
Weeks ago, however, the news was announced that Elliott and Emma were divorcing, but would remain good friends and continue to support each other.
