Several have speculated as to who will get the lead role when Kate Moss’s nude portrait session with the British painter Lucian Freud is made into a film.
British Bamber (24) has previously been seen in “The Serpent” and “Nocturnal Animals”.
Now she has been given the lead role in the film “Moss & Freud”, which deals with the life of supermodel Kate Moss in the period of the early 2000s.
When Moss was pregnant with her daughter Lila in 2002, she posed as a model for the British painter Lucian Freud – an experience she has considered one of the most important in her career.
In 2005, the painting was sold for DKK 47 million.
German-born Freud, who is the grandson of the psychiatrist Sigmund Freud, has been known as one of the world’s most sought-after contemporary artists. He died in 2011.
Two-time Emmy Award winner and BAFTA Award nominee Derek Jacobi will play the painter.
The director of the film is James Lucas, and Kate Moss herself is involved as a co-producer.
– As this is such a personal story about me, it has been important that I am involved with James in all aspects as the project has developed. I’m excited about the recent casting and excited for the film to start filming soon, I can’t wait to see it, says Moss according to Deadline.
