The first blood drive of the year took place Wednesday afternoon at the multipurpose room.
Usually scheduled on Monday, this collection has changed day at the request of the association of blood donors of the municipality, “In order to see if by changing the day of the collection, the donors would be more numerous”, says the president, Régine Louet.
It brought together 43 donors, including two new ones. Figures lower than those of the last collection in September.
For the third time, the collection was done by appointment and “This is rather well appreciated by donors, it allows them to wait less. There are still some people who come unexpectedly. If there is space, this is not a problem, otherwise the donation is unfortunately not possible. It is therefore preferable to make an appointment. “
Despite the strict sanitary guidelines, the post-donation snack is still served. Instead of being self-service, it has been, since the start of the health crisis, served individually by volunteers, while respecting barrier gestures.
