In reality, Elli Immo never ended up in films. Elli and her friends couldn’t find a movie in the theater that they liked, so the evening went to cafes and bars.
At nine in the evening, Elli went for a walk at the level with towards home. The friends made their way through the forest path, even though Maila would have liked to go along the busier road. Elli got Maila to agree to a shorter route and promised to take her friend home.
Maila got home around ten o’clock, and Elli started walking back to her own home, a couple of hundred meters away. During her short trip, Elli fell victim to an attack and was murdered.
Elli was found the next day at noon, when the elementary school-age boy had passed a bloody corpse on his way home.
Elli’s own mother had already walked past Elli’s body the night before when she came home from work. However, in the darkness of winter, the mother had not noticed her daughter’s body in the snow.

The murder investigation started quickly, and in the first few days, the Kemi police questioned more than a hundred people. After some time, however, the investigation quieted down. It turns out that one person in particular had aroused the suspicions of many people. He was the son of a policeman and a close relative of many policemen.
