“Under the circumstances, things are going well.” That is what Ellemieke Vermolen (44) says after the break with top chef Sergio Herman (51).

“When you have to deal with setbacks, you have two choices: you can lie down and do nothing more, or you can get up and do something with it. And keep going, that works for me. I’m just very positive, always have been. You only live once, so make the most of it,” Vermolen told the Dutch newspaper RTL Boulevard.
“The end of a relationship is not the end of life. We will always be mom and dad, I think that’s the most important thing. As a parent you have to be able to put your pride aside, because your children should suffer as little as possible from it,” she says.
At the beginning of this year, the couple announced that they broke up after a relationship of twelve years. Sergio Herman meanwhile found love with the West Flemish model and entrepreneur Chanel Joppart (30).
