Ella herself has emphasized her female identity several times during the quiz program. With a view to the record, she took place in the candidate’s seat on Thursday night dressed in a pink suit, a nod to ‘Elle Woods’ (played by Reese Witherspoon) from ‘Legally Blonde’. In that film, the so-called ‘dumb blonde’ Woods shakes off all stereotypes by becoming a lawyer and winning a difficult lawsuit. And blonde Ella? It “beat all men”, as she writes in a response to her Instagram post.
