Match week 43 of League One at the Aesseal Stadium was the first for Elkan Baggott in the third tier of the English League.

Ipswich coach Kieran McKenna started Elkan Baggott as Cameron Burgess was ruled out due to a ban.

The 19-year-old appeared in full in the match. However, Baggott’s debut in League One did not end well because Ipswich lost 0-1 to Rotherham through Michael Smith’s goal in the 78th minute.

Even though he lost, Elkan Baggott still showed off this important moment in his football career. Baggott uploaded his performance against Rotherham on two of his social media accounts. On Instagram Baggott showed two photos during the warm-up and the match.

Baggott’s debut in the Premier League was considered by coach Kieran McKenna as a good step for Ipswich. According to McKenna, Baggott’s debut is a testament to the hard work of every young player.

“I think he can be happy with his performance. It makes him perform well and hopefully he can build on this experience,” said McKenna.
