Elkan Baggott he openly admits that he wants to defend an Indonesian football team.
At a relatively young age, 19, Baggott still wants to pursue his dream of appearing in the highest caste Premier League. Baggott currently defends third-caste club Gillingham on loan from Ipswich Town.

“Perhaps [bermain di Indonesia] I can do it at the end of my career, ”said the player born on 23 October in a 26-minute speech about his career on the Indonesian national team.
When asked which club he wanted to be his target, Baggott didn’t want to be direct. According to him, his mind is currently not thinking about a career in Indonesia, so he can’t make a choice.
In the podcast, Baggott also talked about the rivalry between Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung. He just happens that the two clubs will clash after the international calendar on 2 October.
“It’s really crazy [rivalitas Persija vs Persib], [fan] they are very fanatic. I’ve heard crazy stories from some players about the game, ”Baggott said explaining his knowledge.
“I heard the players riding the tank [kendaraan lapis baja] to enter the field. It shows that the fans are very fanatic, ”said the player who plays as a central defender accompanied by a laugh.
Meanwhile, Baggott is one of the players called up by Shin Tae Yong for the Indonesian national team. This includes friendly matches against Curacao on 24 and 27 September in Bandung and Bogor.
