Elizabeth Pincemin, pharmacist in the village for more than 37 years, will retire on Sunday January 31.
“ Of Breton origin through my parents, I landed in the department, in Nîmes, during an assignment from dad who was in the military. I arrived in Vézénobres in July 1983 and am proud to have been the third holder of the pharmacy after Mlle Vergnes from 1945 to 1977 and Mme Paroli from 1977 to 1983. At the time the pharmacy was at the top of the rue Basse , it was not until 1987 that I moved to avenue de La Condamine near the fairgrounds. Having a career in a village has been perfect for me thanks to the contacts, the proximity and the richness of the exchanges. Today, we are three pharmacists and two assistants. “
This past year, she also had to deal with the Covid crisis. “It was a terrible year but, even though we had to put an end to our break between noon and 2 p.m., I would like to send a simple message: let’s not forget to live! We must continue to move forward and we’ll be fine. Let’s stay positive! “
And when asked how she plans to retire, the answer is quick: “In fact, I have been retired since January 1st and I am selling my pharmacy on the 31st of the same month. I wanted to do this for a long time. Leaving in good health is a privilege and will begin for me the third stage of my life. A life now made up of traveling, reading, golfing and around my grandchildren. And even if I live in Nîmes, I will still prowl in Vézénobres. I want to thank everyone for the loyalty and kindness provided. And above all to say that it is only a goodbye. From February 1, my successors Laure Longuet and Anthonin Aurand will welcome you. “
