Singer and songwriter Elizabete Gaile has released the song “Release My Hand” from the upcoming album at the end of this year. This song and, of course, other melodies of Elizabeth will be available in person on Friday, February 18, at her concert night at M / Darbnīca.
Singer Elizabeth Gaile had previously declared herself an interesting and promising musician, who mostly works in the field of poison pop. She has also strengthened this notion with the new song “Release My Hand”, which was created in collaboration with producer Rūdolfs Macatas and musician Jānis Niedras from the group “Blue Jean Serenade”. Despite the song’s rather heavy theme (its central question is “how often do you think maybe you can still save?”), Elizabeth’s singing and rhythmic drawing create a bright and even lively feeling.
“I am pleased with the result and the whole process of creation, which, admittedly, was quite emotional,” says Elizabeth. “When I talk about my personal experiences in my songs, it is interesting to look at myself and my emotions from the sidelines throughout the creative process. I have been true to this story and I hope that I was able to convey this feeling to the listener as well. The main element of the song is the silence between the two people, which has existed for too long for the relationship between the two to exist again. You can try to start over or save again, but maybe it’s better to let go. ”
The song also includes a video in collaboration with cameraman Zigmārs Zilgalvis, Théophile Poncet, stylists Sintija Selickas, producer Loreta Danči and choreographer Beāti Ieva Rozi. “The idea for the choreography for this song came to me already in the summer, when I resumed going to dance classes. Together with choreographer Beata Ieva Rozi and the whole team, I think we have managed to create a light and volatile feeling that complements the story of the song, ”says the singer. By the way, the clip shows that Elizabeth really went to dance classes – the elements of choreography in her performance are easy to read.
