Nobody apparently understood well the reports of the blue MEP Eliza Vozeberg to SKAI and Aris Portosalte about the crime of Tempe and about Maria Karystianou.
At a time when even members of the Mitsotakis government distanced themselves from her statements that, between legal accusations but also her trust in the Greek Justice and the Rule of Law, she tried to gain political benefits and make oil for the Mitsotakis government and its political… responsibilities , now claims to be a victim!
Eliza Voseberg is now coming back with new statements that she uploaded to “X” and with which she certainly does not respond to any criticism leveled at her, she notes that she speaks politically and that she never attacked Maria Karystianou.

We will agree on one thing: That he speaks politically with the aim of exonerating the Mitsotakis government for the omissions and criminal delays and reacts to the fact that the case was not tried “immediately” by blaming the parents of the victims, not to ensure a safe railway network which remains a demand for our country, but to close the “case”.
Her “policy” position for a speedy trial may well be seen as a quick “hood” since new evidence was emerging all the while.
Her attempt to connect the struggle of the tragic parents of the victims with… SYRIZA without answering why she and the European People’s Party did not give her a platform, since – as she says – they have nothing to fear, may have been politics. It was simply something that did not “contribute” to the government!
She blamed Maria Karystianou, saying that all this discredits the country, forgetting that the country is a member of the EU. and defamation is done by the dissolution of the Rule of Law and Freedom of the Press and exclusively by the government it represents.

The truth is that the government’s effort to downplay the voice of the victims’ parents, to “close” the issue of crime, is constant. It is no coincidence that international media associate her portfolio, as well as that of the Greek Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas – Transport – with the attempt to cover up the issue that brings the whole of Greek society against the government’s strategies.

She is the one who directly or indirectly tells us that a citizen cannot judge a politician, that this is exclusively a matter of Justice in which she herself has “absolute confidence”!
She talks about vulgar attacks against her and threats, confusing criticism and counterargument in an attempt to declare herself a “victim”.
Apparently in line with Mitsotakis, who in Parliament did not… recognize Nikos Pappa as the president of the SYRIZA Parliamentary Group, and she herself accuses him of “vulgarities, lies and unimaginable abusive expressions”.

It is very likely that he realized in retrospect what he was doing in that interview trying to deal with a parental outrage at the actions and omissions of a State.
“But it’s a shame that you don’t have your party’s traditional respect for Greek unwritten laws such as respect for the dead and their mothers” Vivian Efthimiopoulou had written, not to mention the government officials who refused to comment on Vosenberg’s statements
Except that if someone is to blame, the best thing is to look in the mirror!
Eliza Woseberg’s post on “X”
Last week, in my interview on SKAI radio and Aris Portosalte, I made a political criticism of SYRIZA’s instrumentalization of the Tempe tragedy in the European Parliament. I also referred to Mrs. Karystianou, whom I met personally, when she had requested it. I also said that the start of the trial for the tragedy is being delayed due to the responsibility of certain relatives of the victims. I spoke purely politically, referring to real incidents and I proved that I spoke with respect for Ms. Karystianou! I never attacked her and the relatives of the victims of the tragedy, a fact that is irrefutably shown by my interview itself, which is posted on the Internet. (
The day after the interview, I received vulgar attacks and obscene characterizations, insults and threats from SYRIZA officials, from a certain publisher and from the cowardly “trolls” of the internet, with the aim of silencing me and mainly misinforming the public, and this because I dared to highlight the truth!
The sycophants — about an allegedly vulgar attack on Ms. Karystianou — are refuted by the full content of the criticism I made with my interview. I did not respond to the atrocities of the known-strangers and the threats, nor do I intend to, because the citizens know persons and actions and judge.
However, the President of the SYRIZA Parliamentary Group, Nikos Pappas, irrevocably condemned by the Court, with a 13-0 conviction, who had the audacity to insult my honor and reputation and to target me personally, with lies and unimaginable insults from the floor of the National Parliament, he will get the answer he deserves according to the Law! Because such political vagrancy cannot and should not be tolerated. Fortunately, in our country we have a Democracy, there is a Constitution, the laws apply to everyone without exception and the Judiciary is independent.
Everyone knows, Mr. Nikos Pappas, that the vulgarity and wretchedness in the country’s political life in recent years, as well as the dehumanization that you referred to in the most immoral, obscene and obscene way from the floor of the Parliament, have certainly not my own name! You especially, talking about morals and pointing fingers is too much. Before you decide to pretend to be the public prosecutor, you better consult your mirror!
