After a year off the screens, lived with some frustration, Benedetta Rinaldi is back on video alongside Michele Mirabella. And it did so in the context of another return, that of Elixir, who after four years of absence reappeared this morning at 11.00 on Rai 3, to dispense information and health advice, starting as is obvious from the Coronavirus theme.

The historic Rai program, canceled in 2016 and replaced by All Health, has taken back his place, proposing a scheme now known to viewers, which includes interviews with experts, food advice and continuous windows on the web, to welcome questions from the public and dispel some fake news.

Michele Mirabella is an absolute certainty of this television genre, for Rinaldi it was instead a change, after the happy years spent in the morning of Rai 1 alongside Franco Di Mare in One morning.

The “repechage” of the journalist is undoubtedly the merit of the former colleague, now director of Rai 3, but ends up having the taste of sop. In fact, Rinaldi has been noted in the past for its ability to range from journalism to light conduction, to “play” on video, not limiting itself to mere information. In Elixir this is unlikely to happen, because it is a short program – it lasts one hour – and there are many scientific topics, therefore serious and rigorous, to be addressed.

Mirabella himself, a practical and immediate helmsman, does not get lost in pleasantries and goes straight to the point, never hinting at the past or the future and going straight. In this context, Rinaldi appears a bit wasted in the context.
