The Lebanese singer Elissa responded to the calls that demanded that she apologize for her cooperation with her Moroccan colleague Saad Lamjarred and delete their famous song “From the First Minute” after the latter was sentenced to six years in prison, for his conviction in the rape case of a French girl.

In her recent concert in the Dominican Republic, the owner of “Ajmal Ehsas” ignored the demands of her fans, and sang the song “From the First Minute” on the stage, while showing the video clip of the work, which won more than 300 million views on “YouTube”.

This response was praised by a large number of Elissa’s fans and media activists, indicating that she is sticking to Saad Lamjarred’s support and will not delete their song. While others saw that she performed one of her songs and did not carry any hidden message.

The Lebanese artist was subjected to a campaign of harsh criticism after the Moroccan artist Saad Lamjarred was sentenced to 6 years in prison, on charges of rape against a girl in a case dating back to October 2016.

This attack came after her cooperation with Lamjarred last May, with the song “From the First Minute”, especially as she is a public figure who supports women with her stances and songs, including the video clip “Ya My Mirror”, released in 2015, which highlighted physical violence against women.

And a wide number of followers demanded an official apology from the artist Elissa, following in the footsteps of the American star Lady Gaga, who faced the same thing in 2019, who apologized to her fans and deleted her song “Do what you want”, which was released in 2013 with the American singer R Kelly, after He was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually abusing children and women.
