After Elise has received the latest tips from Lex Uiting from Venlo, she goes undercover in a pastry shop. Disguised with a red wig, freckles and corporate clothing, she mingles with her colleagues. Under Lex’s watchful eye, Elise is assisted in her ear with typical Venlo statements. The actress quickly feels at home among all the delicacies, but when she wants to help the next customer, she seems to be recognized. “Such a Dutch actress from Kruys family or something like that,” the woman wonders aloud.
Her role as Ruxandra in this well-known series now seems to expose her, but Elise quickly manages to get out of it. With her best Venlo accent she says: “Oh Elise Schaap, no, she was lifted over the horse.” The woman disagrees with her and Elise tries to move even further away from her real identity. “No, but with those types, I don’t like that at all,” she adds. Her mission seems accomplished when she hands the customer her order without question.
With several clients to go, Elise’s undercover assignment has not yet succeeded. With her dialect she has to prove herself as a true inhabitant of Venlo. Will Elise manage to get into Limburg or will she still be exposed? Although the woman in the store does make the link with Elise Schaap, it is less clear to the other customers. According to them, the shop assistant is really from Limburg, they later explain to Lex. Elise can look back with pride on her first undercover–adventure.
