The bride of the Bekaa Valley, Zahle, was crowned last night, Elise Hajjar, as her beauty queen for 2022, among 12 competitors who competed for the title, as part of a distinguished beauty festival that was held after a forced absence for three years due to the “Corona” pandemic, in the tourist complex “Al-Tilal Bay Beit Al-Sit” in Ksara. Sponsored by the municipality of Zahle and Taanayel and organized by the “Asdaa Zahle and Bekaa” media magazine and website, Nicole Sadaka, in the presence of Caretaker Minister of Industry George Boushekian, Representatives George Akis and Elias Stephan, former Minister Elie Marouni, Tunisian Ambassador Boraoui Al-Imam, and Bekaa Governor Judge Kamal Abu Joudeh, Mayor of the Municipality, Eng. Asaad Zughaib, and political, social, economic, media and artistic figures and the contestants’ families.
Rita Fadel won first runner-up, Maria Farha, second runner-up and Cynthia Bechaalani, third runner-up, and Theresia Maria Burgess won the title of “miss social media”.
12 contestants competed for the title of “Miss Zahle 2022”: Aline Nabhan, Angela Abu Shaya, Alundra Touma, Cynthia Bachaalani, Celine Shamma, Rachel Touma, Christian Masih, Elita Riachi, Alice Hajjar, Maria Farha, Maria Kassis, Rita Fadel and Teresa Maria Burgess.
The jury was attended by the head of the “Zahle Cultural Gathering” Maroun Makhoul, media professionals Matilda Faragallah, Dalia Karim and Raja Nasreddin, actress Nadine Al-Rassi, head of the “smile to smile” festival, Dr. Anthony Fakhoury, plastic surgeon Hirach Sagbasarian, artist Shiraz, designer Mario Mitri, businessman Ahmed Al-Akkawi and founder of the “Beit El-Sit Group”, Michel Sadaka.
The celebration included honoring the members of the jury with plaques of appreciation, and artistic performances by the artist Naji Al-Osta and the artist Shiraz, to artistic dance poses.
