The representative of Nuevas Ideas, Elisa Rosales, referred to the recent amendments approved to the Internal Regulations of the Legislative Assembly (RIAL), which establish sanctions for deputies who do not comply with their work responsibilities.
During her participation in the interview on Ágape TV channel 8, the parliamentarian explained that previously, the legislative norm did not allow sanctions to be applied to those who did not show up for work; With the reforms, that has changed.
“To put these vices aside we have reformed the RIAL. “This is a matter of order, of making public management more efficient,” stressed the Cian Caucus deputy.
For Elisa Rosales, “it is not fair that some deputies, mainly from the opposition, do not reach the commissions and continue earning the same because the Internal Regulations of the Assembly did not allow for discounts.”
In this context, he added that with the reduction of the number of commissions from 20 to 8, no issue will be left aside since today the work will be more efficient and productive.
