Ferdy Sambo’s former adjutant, Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu, read out the plea of defense or plea in the premeditated murder case against Brigadier N Yosua Hutabarat. Eliezer apologizes to his fiancé for having to patiently postpone the wedding.
“I also apologize to my fiancé for having to be patient in delaying our wedding plans, even though it’s difficult to say, I thank you for your patience and love and concern,” said Eliezer during a hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (25/1/2023).
Eliezer begged his fiancé to be patient and wait for him to undergo legal proceedings. However, in a soft tone, Eliezer admitted that he did not force his fiancé to wait.
“Even if you have to wait, wait for me to go through this legal process. Even if it takes a long time, I will not be selfish by forcing you to wait for me, I am sincere whatever your decision, because your happiness is my happiness as well,” said Eliezer.
Charged 12 Years
Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu was sentenced to 12 years in prison in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier N Yosua Hutabarat. Prosecutors believe Eliezer committed the crime of jointly taking Joshua’s life.
“Demand that the panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court who examined and tried this case declare that the defendant Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu is legally and convincingly proven to have committed the crime of taking people’s lives together,” said the prosecutor while reading out the charges at the trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Jalan Ampera Raya, South Jakarta, Wednesday (18/1).
“Send a sentence against the defendant with a sentence of 12 years in prison,” he added.
Eliezer is believed by the prosecutor to have violated Article 340 of the Criminal Code juncto Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.
