The Cuban singer Eliades Ochoa will perform this March during the 26th edition of the Afro Roots Fest 2024 music festival, which will be held in Miami starting on March 16.
The guitarist will also perform on March 16 at the Miami Beach Bandshell auditorium, at 7275 Collis Ave, in Miami Beach, in a presentation that is also part of his Guajiro Tourwith which he toured a dozen cities throughout the United States.

Eliades Ochoa Bustamante, originally from Santiago de Cuba, showed interest in music from an early age, beginning to play the guitar self-taught at just six years old.
He has built a solid musical career in the United States, with nearly three albums and dozens of collaborations. In 2012 she won the Latin Grammy with her album A Bolero For You, in the category of “Best Traditional Tropical Music Album”.
In 2016 he won a Billboard Award as part of the group Buena Vista Social Club, with the album Lost and FoundIn addition, in 2018 he also won the Latin Award in Canada.
The Afro Roots Fest is an event dedicated to celebrating Africa’s cultural influence on music, promoting the mission of Community Arts and Culture, which is to foster an appreciation of syncretism with the West. In 2023, the 25th concert season was completed.
The festival, founded in 1999 on the now-defunct Tobacco Road, has become one of the area’s oldest music festivals, and has been named one of “Miami’s 10 Best Music Festivals” by the Miami New Times. .
