Popular TV Profile 2 Eli Kari Gjengedal (51) is a lot to see on the television screen. She primarily as a weather anchor, but she has also been seen as a participant in Farmen kendis.
On January 10, Torpet stardom beginsand Gjengedal is one of the three participants.
On the other hand, she reveals that there is another role she would like to have, but hasn’t been able to get so far.
I asked every year
Gjengedal applied to be program manager for Farmen for 22 years. She has emailed production every year and will continue to do so.
The whole tradition started when she was called for an interview in Season 1. She wasn’t quite sure what the concept meant, but she was still very flattered.
With a coffee in hand at Fru Hagen, in the heart of Grünerløkka, the interview took place.
– I’m so sorry some of the things I said then. I didn’t quite understand what the concept was and sold myself the wrong way. So the job went to Sarah Natasha Melbye, she says when TV 2 calls.
Right on the ball
At Christmas, it was announced that renowned Farmen Tiril presenter Sjåstad Christiansen would step down from the role. The position is therefore vacant.
– I think anyone can “nail” this work, but I think it’s important that it is a person who loves the concept of Farmen. You have to understand it, understand it and you have to be able to understand what the participants are going through, in Christiansen about who should take on the role of presenter.
As the self-proclaimed “biggest Farmen fan in the world”, Gjengedal believes she would have been a good choice as a presenter.
– I think I have a lot to give and have a lot of knowledge about the farm. Tears only flow when I see butter cheek, she can tell.
– I had to laugh a little. When the job became available, I jumped right in and emailed the production company. I have a 20th anniversary in masing. I’m not giving up, laughs Gjengedal.
The answer if she is the lucky one, will probably have to wait a little longer.
– There are many good presenters candidates, but it’s too early to tell who will become Farmen’s new famous presenter, says TV 2 press officer Jan-Petter Dahl.
It will never stop the weather work
Despite this dream, meteorological work in Gjengedal is his great love.
Had she become Farmen’s host, she would still be reporting the weather on TV 2.
– I can never stop TV 2 time ever. I am so happy with my weather job, my colleagues and TV 2, she says.
Gjengedal has been doing this job for 23 years and is currently Head of Meteorology. Not even his great commitment to the Farm can be compared to this.
– Not at the expense of weather reports, notes Gjengedal.
