Elfsborg did not dominate with a victory in the home match against Velez Mostar a week ago. Then the final result was 1-1, which made the event in Sarajevo wide open.
But early on it was clear that it was Elfsborg’s match. Already in the third minute, Per Frick arranged 1-0 to the Allsvenskan team and after just over a quarter, Jeppe Okkels extended the lead.
Company Okkels / Frick stepped forward again early in the second half. In the 48th minute, Okkels made it 3-0 and shortly afterwards Frick scored his second goal of the match.
The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as I finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post. The 4-1 victory, a total of 5-2, means that Elfsborg is further in the European game.
Now, however, a really tough opposition awaits Elfsborg in what is the last obstacle to reach the group stage. The team is set against the Dutch big team Feyenoord, which is further after defeating Swiss Lucerne.
