Another eleven young companies can look forward to funding in the “Start-up BW Pre-Seed” program. After submitting a formal application, you can expect support of up to 200,000 euros.
Another eleven young companies can count on funding from the program Start-up BW Pre-Seed from the Ministry of Economics. The selection committee decided this in the fourth round of applications this year. After submitting a formal application, you can expect support of up to 200,000 euros. The state will cover 80 percent of this, and 20 percent of the sum will be borne by a co-investor.
Funding is an investment in the future
“The funding gives young companies financial scope to consolidate and develop in the difficult start-up phase,” said Economics Minister Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut. “Access to capital is often the biggest obstacle for start-ups in the first few years of their existence.”
The Start-up BW Pre-Seed program supports companies in a phase in which they are still looking for structure and stability – and their products are already on the market. The L-Bank coordinates the program together with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and, after successful approval of the applications, is responsible for disbursing the funding and checking its use.
L-Bank boss Edith Weymayr emphasized the great importance that state funding has for start-ups: “In addition to crisis aid and transformation support, one of our most important tasks is to support innovative entrepreneurs in setting up their own businesses. And they accept our offers. L-Bank has already provided around 385 million euros in funding in its start-up programs in the first seven months of this year.”
