Eleven cities of Seine-Saint-Denis in the top 500 cities where “life is good”

They were fourteen last year, they are now only eleven. Sunday January 30, 2022, the association Towns and villages where life is good published its 2022 winners. A ranking emerged, unveiled the same day by the Sunday newspaper. If no city of Seine-Saint-Denis is in the top 50, eleven are ranked in the top 500.

The ranking only takes into account the cities of more than 2,000 inhabitants. at 171^th place, Saint-Denis is still at the top of the cities of the department. It is classified between Annemasse at 170^th place (Haute-Savoie) and Longjumeau at 172^th Square (Essonne). The most populous city of Seine-Saint-Denis, however, loses 23 places compared to the 2021 ranking.

Ten other towns in the department have found their place in the ranking:

• Montreuil (235ème)
• Rosny-sous-Bois (268^th)
• Saint Ouen (336^th)
• Epinay-sur-Seine (347^th)
• Aubervilliers (417^th)
• Noisy le Grand (432^th)
• Bondy (438^th)
• Puppet (445^th)
• Stains (463^th)
• Noisy-le-Sec (493^th).

Bobigny, La Courneuve and Le Blanc-Mesnil, respectively ranked at 440^th478^th et 499^th place last year, were excluded from the top 500.

187 criteria studied

This list was compiled from 187 criteria (four more than last year) whose data was drawn from the work of Insee, the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies.

The main criteria taken into account are: quality of life, safety, shops, services, transport, health, education, solidarity, sports and leisure. For the first time this year, the category ofreal estate attractiveness made his appearance. In addition, the distance between towns and a business or facility is no longer calculated as the crow flies, but in car travel time.

These criteria have been weighted according to the importance given to them in an Opinion Way survey carried out in 2021.
