Elevator “leaks”: Salerno’s upper historic center isolated

There is no peace for the public elevator Fornelle and there is no respite for the mobility of residents of the highest part of the historic center Of Salerno. And this time the decision was taken as a precaution to avoid problems with the electrical panel due to water leaks in some apartments that are located right next to the elevator. These are houses owned by the Municipality of Salerno – just like the elevator, entrusted to the subsidiary Salerno Mobility -: now they will have to be the workers of War Palace to arrange for inspections to be started in the premises affected by the water leak and proceed with the repair of the leak.

The inconveniences

Once the problem is definitively fixed, according to the municipal offices, the maximum safety of the plant and the entire electronic system will be guaranteed and the connection will not have to be closed again, causing enormous inconvenience for residents, especially the elderly and disabled, now forced again after the closure for maintenance last July to have to make huge detours to reach their homes.
