Eleport installs the first electric car charging station in Jurmala

Electric car charging network Eleport installs its first charging station in Jurmala. The new charging station provides charging for two electric cars at the same time and will be a suitable solution for the traffic load on the Jaunkemeri road.

In Jūrmala, a 22 kW alternating current or half-speed charging station has been installed near the “Neptūns” restaurant, which provides a charging speed of up to 145 km/h. This station has two ports with European standard Type 2 sockets.

Eleport’s goal is to create a unified and modern charging network in all Baltic states and Poland. Our first station in Jurmala is an important step towards improving the infrastructure of the electric car charging network, so that electric car drivers are not limited in their mobility, including going to relax in nature. We also plan the future development of the network, taking into account the need for charging stations in other regions of Latvia, not only in Riga.

Kārlis Mendziņš, manager of “Eleport Latvija”.

Registered customers can recharge at Eleport stations using the Eleport app or customer card,
both previously unregistered customers by following the directions to the charging station and soon by pre-paying as well
through the uzlade.lv website.

A new 22 kW charging station will also start operating in the office and production area on Katlakalna street in Riga at the beginning of July. At the moment, Eleport has installed five electric car charging stations in Latvia – four in Riga and one in Jurmala. A total of 30 stations are planned to be installed by the end of this year.
