Elenger, the largest private energy company in the Baltic and Finland region, will more than triple its deliveries of liquefied natural gas this year – compared to five liquefied natural gas cargoes delivered last year, the company will deliver 16 liquefied natural gas cargoes to the region this year by ships.

“A third of the import of liquefied natural gas to the Baltic region and Finland is delivered with Elenger through mediation – large volumes and direct contracts with leading LNG suppliers allow us to offer our customers secure and affordable supplies and increase our market share,” said Elenger Latvia Chairman of the Board Dāvis Skulte.

“Within less than a year, we completely reoriented to liquefied natural gas of Western origin, new supply routes from Norway and the USA were created, which are working well today, and this has given the regional gas market more security and also helped to reduce the price,” stated Skulte.

“While preparing for the new heating season, our gas consumers can not worry – European gas storages are full and there will be enough gas. As winter approaches, the price of gas is expected to increase slightly, but according to all forecasts, the coming winter will be easier for consumers than the previous one,” said Skulte.

Four of Elenger groups of liquefied natural gas deliveries ordered this year arrived at the Klaipeda terminal in Lithuania and eight – at the Inko terminal in Finland. An agreement has been reached that by the end of the year one more cargo will arrive in Klaipeda and three will arrive at the Inko terminal. The company’s main supply partners are international energy groups Vitol and Totalas well as a company of Norwegian origin Equinor. Elenger was the first company to start using the new Finnish Inko terminal.

Working in five markets – Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland Elenger experienced growth last year and became the largest private energy company in the Baltic and Finland region. Elenger the group offers customers natural gas in the form of pipeline gas, compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG), and also manages the largest gas distribution network in Estonia and Latvia. The company is actively involved in international energy trade and develops a portfolio of renewable energy in the production and sale of solar energy and biomethane.
