On the 12th, at this elementary school, a student drew another student’s forehead with a pencil during class.

The homeroom teacher arranged a meeting with the parents and thought the matter was resolved amicably.

However, after that, the parents made several calls to the teacher’s personal number, and the teacher told the school that he was horrified.

The school recommended that the teacher change his phone number.

The homeroom teacher was found dead at school six days after the pencil incident.

Previously, in April, another student exhibited several behavioral problems in class.

I met parents and recommended psychological counseling.

The teacher told the school three months later that the parent said it was the teacher’s fault and felt guilty.

He said it felt like gaslighting.

The dead teacher has requested counseling from the school 10 times since last year due to grievances related to student and parent complaints.

As a new teacher, I received counseling twice last year and eight times this year, and in particular, I complained of grievances three times this month alone.

The elementary school’s incense burner in memory of the deceased teacher continued to visit despite the heat wave.

The Ministry of Education and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education decided to extend the joint investigation into the death of a teacher by one week until the 4th of next month.

Teachers across the country will hold a second memorial rally tomorrow (29th) to repeatedly urge measures to protect teaching rights.
