Lincolnton.- Commotion at an elementary school in Lincoln County. A teacher was arrested for sex crimes involving multiple students, the Lincolnton Police Department reported.
The teacher responds to the name of Brittain Lee Nichols29, a resident of Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Nichols was booked into the County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
Authorities have charged him with two counts of indecent liberties with a student and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Police said they received a report in February 2023 about “a teacher taking indecent liberties” with a student at Battleground Elementary School.
Nearly two months later, the investigation led detectives to three additional victims of the same suspect.
Some victims had more than one encounter with Nichols while at the school, authorities said.
