We no longer quote today the masterpieces of animation and narration that made the success of Pixar studios. From Nemo to Monstres et Cie, from Là-Haut to Vice-Versa, without forgetting Soul, each film speaks, through its uniqueness, to the hearts of young and old alike.
Closing of the Cannes Film Festival
Presented at the end of the last Cannes Film Festival, the latest Pixar film is a colorful fable about the coexistence of communities.
Elementary, that’s its name, brings fire, water, air and earth to life through a constellation of characters all living in (almost) harmony in Element City. Inspired by his own journey, director Peter Sohn, a Korean immigrant, delivers a beautiful story about integration, the mixing of cultures and acceptance.
good entertainment
This is how we meet Flam, an incandescent young girl with a strong character and Flack, a delicate young man with easy tears. It’s love at first sight between them, but aren’t water and fire incompatible? Both will have to face reality and go beyond prejudice to build their new community together.
No surprises for this screenplay by Peter Sohn, but the codes of romantic comedy, teenage ardor and solid family values make Elementary a sparkling romance about love, always stronger than anything!

The French dubbing, here provided by Adèle Exarchopoulos and Vincent Lacoste, adds to the panache. Good summer entertainment.
