A traffic accident occurred in the early hours of Friday at the junction of Kanellopoulou and Mouriki streets near Elefsina Beach. The 31-year-old driver is dead, the 25-year-old passenger is fighting for his life.
The IX car, in which two people were aboard, for an as yet unknown reason allegedly veered off course and overturned resulting in the death of the driver and serious injuries to the passenger, according to ERT.
EKAV ambulances rushed to the scene where they transported the unlucky driver to Thriasio Hospital and the passenger in critical condition to Tzanio who was freed by men from the Fire Service.

The preliminary investigation into the traffic accident has been undertaken by the Coast Guard.
