Nice weather singer Jūlijs Melngailis.

Nice weather is an indi / electronic music duo from Riga. In the beginning, both artists met at a songwriting camp RIGaLive, but worked remotely – producer Andis Ansons lived and worked in Riga, while singer and composer Jūlijs Melngailis studied music composition in London. They are influenced in their music by artists such as Caribou, Jungle, Sampha, Toro y Moi and others, combining sensual beats and analog synthesizer sounds with gentle vocals and pulsating guitar riffs that create a danceable yet intimate atmosphere.
Nice weather in Italian means “good time”, which is a bit ironic, given that the musicians began their work in Riga and London. However, it can also be translated as “having a good time” – and that’s it Nice weather wants to give their listeners: shelter from the gray sky and puddles, from the cold wind and annoying faces.
