On October 10, Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) provided information on the implementation of recording electricity meter readings.
Accordingly, up to now, all electricity customers in Hanoi have been installed with electronic meters with remote data collection features. This is an important factor for EVNHANOI to deploy a step-by-step roadmap to unify the schedule for recording customers’ electricity consumption index on the last day of the month. EVNHANOI will implement a roadmap to change the date of recording meter readings to the end of the month for electricity customers in some districts.
Ms. To Lan Huong, Head of EVNHANOI Sales Department, said that the time for recording electricity consumption indexes on customers’ electricity meters will be moved to the end of the month to make it convenient for customers to monitor and track schedules. Record electricity meter readings monthly.
“The implementation of changing the index recording schedule aims to increase transparency in the management of electricity measurement and counting activities, index recording and electricity billing. According to Ms. Huong, from now until the end of 2023, the change to the recording schedule will be implemented in 21 districts; The remaining 9 districts will be implemented in the following years and complete the change in recording electricity meter readings by 2025 according to EVN’s goal. “EVNHANOI commits that the rights of electricity customers are always guaranteed because the amount of electricity for each level is adjusted according to the actual number of days of the meter reading period in the month that changes” – Ms. Huong informed. .
Ms. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Director of EVNHANOI Customer Care Center, said that starting next month, Electricity companies will close the index recording date on November 30. Thus, the number of days on next month’s electricity bill will change. Customers will defer the October electricity bill and this amount will be paid the following month.
“EVNHANOI will notify customers in advance in writing as well as through multimedia channels before implementing meter readings. The electricity usage level of each stair step will be adjusted according to the actual number of days in the index recording period. The actual electricity costs that people pay will not change”-
