Wholesale electricity prices may be on a downward trajectory, but in the special or “green” household tariff providers have driven competitive charges for the month of April to higher levels.
Compared to the previous month, March, they have “sheared” the discounts they provide on prices resulting in competitive fees rising by up to 12%.
But there are also providers, who raised the discounts as a result of which the competitive charges in the special or “green” household electricity tariff fell compared to March by up to around 14%.
Pre-crisis prices
However, competitive electricity charges remain at pre-crisis levels, reports ot.gr. As can be seen from the special or “green” electricity tariff posted by each provider on the website of the Waste Energy and Water Regulatory Authority, the range of charges for April ranges from 0.0906 to 0.11624 euros per kilowatt hour.
More specifically, per provider, the special or “green” electricity tariff is set for April as follows:

Competition
As OT wrote yesterday, the electricity providers seem to be taking the competition in the electricity market to another track…
More specifically, they choose to hit… the other two categories of tariffs, namely the floating or “yellow” electricity tariffs and the fixed or “blue” electricity tariffs. In the first category of tariffs, the basic supply prices are at the level of 0.08 euros per kilowatt hour (at the end of the month, the final price is determined based on the adjustment mechanism). In the second category of “blue” tariffs, the battle is fought with competitive charges for fixed six-month and twelve-month tariffs.
