Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati emphasized that the government would extend the discount on electricity rates. Discount extended until December.

Extended discounts are 50% and 25% for the 450 VA and 900 VA groups. From there, the government provides an additional budget for electricity subsidies of Rp 1.91 trillion.
“For 50% and 25% discounts, for 450 VA and 900 VA,” he said.
“So we will add an electricity subsidy budget of Rp 1.91 trillion so that the allocation for the electricity discount program which was previously Rp 7.58 trillion will increase to 9.4 trillion,” he explained.
Sri Mulyani further said that the government would also extend the subscription subsidy which is usually borne by customers.
“Minimum account fees, subscription fees which are usually very high by the small and medium business world for 1.14 million customers which we have allocated so far and will be completed in September, we will also ask throughout the year, until December there will be an additional Rp 420 billion from the budget. which was previously Rp 1.69 trillion and the total budget was Rp 2.11 trillion,” he said.
