Compared to Thursday, the exchange price has actually not changed, as it was not significantly lower on Thursday – on average 133.03 euros per megawatt hour. It is interesting that electricity in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, as in the previous two days, is equally expensive.
On the other hand, in Finland, electricity costs a few cents less on average – 133.82 euros per megawatt hour.
The highest price – 200.01 euros per megawatt hour in Latvia will be on Friday afternoon from 16 to 17. On the other hand, the lowest price is expected on the night of Saturday, when after midnight the price per megawatt hour will drop to 76.71 euros.
In the Latvian price zone, the average exchange price in November was 105.20 euros per megawatt hour, which is significantly lower than the average in 2022, when electricity prices reached an average of 226.91 euros per megawatt hour.
Compared to October, electricity prices have increased by a fifth.
Prices in the Baltic States are significantly higher than in other price zones. For example, in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, the average price on Friday is 93 euros per megawatt hour. In Denmark and Sweden, the prices are even a little lower – on average 88 euros per megawatt hour. In Norway, the average price in the vicinity of the capital today is 87 euros per megawatt hour, and closer to the north, for example, in the vicinity of Trondheim, it is around 57 euros per megawatt hour.
