On Thursday, electricity prices will skyrocket again, after a period of somewhat more stable prices.
–
(GD) In recent days, the electricity price has been stable at around 1.50, – per kilowatt hour. On Thursday, it goes to the roof again.
At the most expensive you have to pay 3 kroner and 32 øre.
The reason is a significant change in weather in Europe. The freezing temperatures are spreading and it is getting colder in the Nordic countries. At the same time, the strong north wind that has blown along the coast and created life in the wind farms in Germany and the Netherlands disappears. It is replaced by a calm westerly wind.
Consumption goes up and production goes down, which goes beyond your electricity bill.
See the overview of the hours at the bottom of the case.
The power exchange Nordpool can report that the average price of electricity in southern and eastern Norway increases from 133 øre per kWh (plus taxes), to 186 øre. What you pay is far higher.
It is not only Norwegians who have to pay more for electricity on Thursday. In Germany, the price of electricity increases by 80 percent from Wednesday to Thursday, while the price in Sweden and Denmark increases by around 70 percent.
