Electricity prices are falling, and for a period night to Sunday, prices in southern and eastern Norway will be negative.
For five hours, from 01 o’clock to 06 o’clock night to Sunday, the prices in Southern and Eastern Norway every hour will be minus 0.3 øre, minus 1.0 øre, minus 1.9 øre for two hours, and then minus 1.0 øre left, according to the power exchange Nord Pool.
It was E24 who mentioned the news first. Prices are per kilowatt hour. They are also preliminary and do not include the electricity companies’ surcharges, grid rent and fees.

Prices already fall on Saturday night, from around one kroner per kilowatt hour at 6 pm, to 15 øre after 11 pm.
– The decline we see in prices tonight and night is simply due to the fact that it blows a lot in Germany, the Netherlands and partly Denmark, so now we get the benefit of the cables we have abroad, says partner and power analyst Marius Holm Rennesund in Thema Consulting to the website.

Also in Trøndelag and northern Norway, there will be minus prices for a few hours on Sunday morning, but only at a marginal 0.01 øre. In Western Norway, however, the expected prices are somewhat higher, at between 18 and 34 øre in the same hours.
