140 homes in downtown Montpellier remained without electricity this afternoon, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The cause: a technical problem at a specific point on the electrical network. The flow of electricity was in fact interrupted at certain connectors, forcing technicians to intervene.
In order to secure the neighborhood, Enedis teams had to cut off electricity in several streets in the city center, located between that of Ancien Courier and Grand-rue Jean-Moulin.
This type of malfunction (“connector firing”) is common. It is not necessarily due to the bad weather of the day, specifies the communication from Enedis.
Power was restored shortly before 6 p.m. Relief for traders who were waiting to be able to lower the gate of their store for the night.
