An increase in electricity prices by around 20 percent for individual consumers will be announced by the Energy Regulatory Office this Friday, reports Radio Put. The President of the Energy Regulatory Office was supposed to agree to the new rates after negotiations with energy companies. These increases are to be announced next Friday by the head of the Energy Regulatory Office, Rafał Gawin.
Gas prices for individual consumers will be even higher – here the increases are to reach even 40%. for households that use gas for heating. Families that use the raw material only for cookers should be prepared for bills higher by 10%. As for gas, PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny was supposed to be one of the parties applying for such increases.
The new electricity and gas tariffs are to enter into force at the beginning of January 2022.
