The arrival of Škoda’s first electric crossover, the Enyaq, sparked debates about its price. It exceeds one million crowns. It is therefore high for the conditions of the Mladá Boleslav carmaker, but it is quite acceptable among electric cars. Interestingly, we compared the Enyaq to a similarly sized, well-equipped Kodiaq SUV.

The day before yesterday, the Škoda carmaker officially introduced the Škoda Enyaq iV electric SUV, which is the brand’s second series-produced electric car after the Citigoe iV, but the first to be mounted on the MEB’s modular platform. The company informed about the price of 1,059,900 crowns for variant 60 with an output of 132 kW and a battery with a capacity of 62 kWh. However, it will not appear on sale until the autumn, until then only a more advanced version is on offer.
Specifically, it is the version marked 80, which has an electric motor at the rear, a power of 150 kW and a battery with a capacity of 82 kW. The recommended retail price is CZK 1,189,900 and of course there is a rich basic equipment. Interestingly, we built a Škoda Kodiaq for a similar amount next to such an Enyaq and found out what each car offers. The closest we finally got was with the Kodiaq 2.0 TDI (140 kW), automatic and all-wheel drive, which in the Laurin & Klement equipment level will cost CZK 1,202,900.
