Electric scooter driver caught in Kemme with drugs in blood and luggage

Both – On Saturday morning, during a routine check-up in Kemme, police officers captured a 26-year-old who had consumed drugs and was driving an electric scooter.

At around 10:20 am, officers from the Bad Salzdetfurth police station checked the man on Federal Highway 1 between Kemme and Bettmar as part of a traffic check. Furthermore, appropriate tests were carried out to verify the ability to drive. They revealed that Schellerten’s man was under the influence of drugs. A subsequent urinalysis confirmed this and a small amount of marijuana was found and seized from the 26-year-old during a traffic check.

Finally, the electric scooter driver was taken to a hospital in Hildesheim for a blood sample. Proceedings have now begun against the 26-year-old for violations of the Narcotics Act and the Road Traffic Act. Eventually, the e-scooter driver had to continue on foot.
