Electric park cyclist to hospital after collision with car in Stavanger – NRK Rogaland – Local news, TV and radio

The police were notified of the accident just after midnight. The collision between the electric park cyclist and the car happened in Haugesundsgata on Storhaug in Stavanger.

The police write in a press release on Saturday morning that the electric kick cyclist was sent to Stavanger University Hospital with serious injuries. The injured is a man in his 30s.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was alone in the car. He is not physically injured, but according to the police he is followed up by health personnel.

There were several witnesses to the accident, and the police have questioned several of these. The police forensic technicians and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s accident commission have investigated the place.

– They have made necessary investigations on the spot and furthermore, the investigation must try to uncover what is the reason why this happened, says operations manager Irene Ragnhildstveit in the South-West police district to NRK.

The accident road is located just outside Stavanger city center and the speed limit is 40 kilometers per hour. Police do not suspect driving under the influence of drugs.

They have a certain overview of what caused the accident, but believe it is too early to draw a final conclusion, says Ragnhildstveit.
