Jakarta –
Electric motor receive a subsidy of IDR 7 million. Subsidies are given to the purchase of new electric motorbikes and the conversion of fuel-powered motors to electricity.
Even so, it was explained that the recipients of this electric motorbike subsidy were buyers of subsidized electric motorbikes, namely MSME actors, recipients of KUR (People’s Business Credit) and Micro Business Productive Presidential Assistance (BPUM), as well as electricity customers of the 450 watt to 900 VA class.
However, the current question is whether 450-900 VA customers can charge their electric motor batteries at home?
Answering this question, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan explained that electric motorbike users who have little electric power can charge by swapping batteries.
“We can also swap batteries. We hope that the battery swap will start soon,” said Luhut in a press conference, Monday (20/3/2023).
For this reason, Luhut admitted that he would increase the number of electric motorbike battery swap locations in stages.
However, he also explained that the government’s current focus is to increase the number of electric vehicle users first. That way electric vehicle manufacturers can continue to develop in the country.
“Yes, we are doing all of this in stages. But within this year or next year we will try to increase the population (electric vehicle users) to 10%,” Luhut explained.
“So that later it can continue rolling, and the cars and motorbikes can open their factories,” he added.
