The battery car continues to sparkle in Western Europe. According to the first provisional figures collected by Berlin analyst Matthias Schmidt, sales of 100% electric cars there recorded a new all-time high in July 2020, at nearly 53,000 units. This is more than twice as much as in July 2019 (23,400 sales).
“It is all the more remarkable that the previous two months at more than 50,000 units were the end of quarters, traditionally boosted by Tesla, which is not the case for this month of July ”, indicates the analyst.
