Electric cars, it also saves on RC. boom in Europe (a little less in Italy)

They grow electric and plug-in

The car market in 2021 suffered a sharp stop, with a drop in registrations of 23% compared to 2019 (last year not impacted by Covid), which resulted in approximately 400,000 fewer cars sold. In this context, one of the few segments to have recorded a positive trend, partly thanks to state incentives, is that of electrified (pure electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid). The weight of electrified on registrations went from 3.5% in 2017 to 38.3% in 2021. Considering the individual categories, it is noted that electric hybrids represent the main share (29%), but plug-ins (4.7%) and pure electric ones (4.6%) are also growing. (Table 1, below).
The data on registrations of electrified cars are encouraging, but there is still a long way to go if we consider the goal that Europe has set itself with the Green Deal, namely that of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. This goal will only be achievable through a revolution of the transport system, which today causes 25% of greenhouse gas emissions. One of the proposals of the Union was to block the sale of new internal combustion engine cars from 2035, therefore not only those with traditional fuel (petrol and diesel), but also hybrids.
