Call it like Goodyear, they claim to be the first company to introduce special electric car tires.
Goodyear explained that he was a pioneer of innovation in the electric vehicle tire industry in the world. In 2015, at the Geneva Autoshow, Goodyear first introduced a new concept product for electric vehicles, the Goodyear BH03.
When brought to the Geneva Autoshow 2015, BHO3 tires are claimed to be able to convert heat generated through friction with asphalt into electrical energy, which will then be channeled into the battery used by electric cars (thermoelectric). While the other types generate electrical energy from the kinetic energy generated from the rotation of the tire itself (piezoelectric).
This concept tire is very important for the future of electric vehicles. With BHO3, tire wear is an outcome that increases the battery life of electric vehicles. Also maximizing the function of tires in accordance with the economic value issued.
“The main problem for electric vehicles as well as conventional vehicles is fuel efficiency, this means that electric car tires must be specially formulated to be able to reach longer distances.
