Electric car: Smart EQ can no longer be ordered

Interested parties for the Smart EQ go empty-handed. The small electric car is still being built, but Daimler no longer accepts new orders, as Electrive.net has learned from Daimler. The list price of the two-seater is 21,940 euros, after deducting the environmental premium, the price would have ended up at 10,154 euros, as Robin.TV calculated.

Stellenmarkt

  1. Märkisch-Oderland district, Seelow
  2. University medicine Greifswald Kö, Greifswald

How long the Smart EQ can no longer be ordered is not known. The Smarts are no longer available as combustion vehicles, but only with electric drives – the four-seater version and the convertible are also only electric.

The last facelift dates from September 2019, although there was little revision here: There were no innovations on the drive side of the Smart Fortwo and Forfour, but the vehicles were more networked. The interior has been improved with new storage surfaces and upgraded with an 8-inch touchscreen. The front has been revised, which is more reminiscent of the first Smart. The headlights and rear lights have also been redesigned.

The E-Smarts achieve a maximum output of 60 kW and a torque of 160 Nm and are equipped with a 4.6 kW on-board charger. There is an optional 22 kW on-board charger that can be used to charge the Smart from 10 to 80 percent within 40 minutes. The range is rather unsuitable for long distances, which, depending on the model, is around 145 to 159 km according to the NEDC. Nothing happened with the acceleration values either: in 11.6 seconds the Fortwo is at 100 km / h, in 12.7 seconds the Forfour is said to have reached 100 km / h from a standing start. The top speed is 130 km / h.
