Reporting from Yonhap, Thursday (17/12), the German car manufacturer has launched its first fully electric e-tron SUV in the country of Ginseng in July 2020. The goal is to boost sales amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Audi Volkswagen Korea plans to deliver eight electric models in the next three years including the Audi e-tron Sportback 55 in 2021 and the SUV Volkswagen ID.4 in 2022,” said Audi Volkswagen Korea Managing Director Rene Koneberg.

The director general in charge of sales at the Volkswagen Group, Christian Dahlheim explained, Audi Volkswagen Korea is very good at managing the dieselgate emission fraud scandal that occurred several years ago and is now focusing on increasing sales.
“This year, we are launching the first e-tron electric model in Korea because the future of the auto industry will change dramatically. We will make the necessary investments to continue to grow in Korea,” he said.
