Electric automaker Xpeng sets course for the Netherlands | Financial

Xpeng sells by far the majority of its cars in China, but is already active in Norway in Europe. More than half of the new cars sold in that country are now electrically powered, making it an attractive market for makers of electric vehicles.

Step to the Netherlands

In 2022, Xpeng wants to make the step to the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. In the long term, Xpeng wants to book half of its turnover in China and the other half in the rest of the world.

The Chinese company delivered 25,666 vehicles in the third quarter of this year, almost three times as many as in the same period last year. Turnover also nearly tripled to 5.7 billion yuan (800 million euros). It recorded a loss of 1.6 billion yuan, compared to 1.1 billion yuan in the third quarter of 2020.
