Elections of the Prime Minister of Britain – the third round is over, the results are announced

The first place, as in the previous two rounds, was taken by former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak with 115 votes. In second and third place are former Defense Secretary Penny Mordaunt (82 votes) and Foreign Secretary Liz Truss (71 votes). Fourth place was taken by Minister for Equality and Local Government Kami Badenoch (58 votes).

At the same time, Member of Parliament Tom Tugendat dropped out of the list of candidates for the post of head of the British government. He received 37 votes and finished in fifth place.

It is worth noting that now the first stage of the election of the prime minister is taking place in Britain, in which members of parliament from the Conservative Party will choose the two main contenders for the post of prime minister.

After that, the second stage will take place, when all the Conservatives of Britain will choose the prime minister among the two remaining candidates.
