The Attorney General issued a new directive where she reiterates to the Boards of Directors of the Autonomous and Sustainable Development Corporations -CAR-, that they must establish the guidelines and schedule for the election of the new directors, which must be carried out in the last quarter. of the year 2023, prior to the start of the institutional period.
Likewise, the head of the Public Ministry stressed that the corporations must specify the calendar for the selection of the legal representative, so that it is not affected by the electoral contest in the territories, avoiding the next political debate when mayors and governors, interferes with the transparency and purposes of said selection.
Through Directive 012 of 2023, the Attorney General urged all boards of directors to apply the principles of merit and impartiality that guide the administrative function, especially the adoption, in the selection processes of general directors. of online mechanisms that allow the receipt of complaints from citizens for possible irregularities in the process.
Finally, Cabello Blanco confirmed that, through the Delegate for Environmental Mining, Energy and Agrarian Affairs, he will monitor and strictly monitor the diligent and efficient exercise of the administrative function, the defense of the legal order and the protection of fundamental rights and guarantees.
